The roof is insulated to limit heat and noise from rain. The BBQ-Rancho has its own bathroom, water and electricity. The property has many mature trees (cedro, laurel) and fruit trees, such as guanabana, mamón chino, avocado, cocoteros, plantains, orange trees. In the nearby pueblo Cabanga you find a couple of mum-and-pop stores. For larger supplies, banking, hardware etc you would drive to Guatuso or Nuevo Arenal. Lake Arenal offers many outdoor activities, several tennis- and pickleball courts, social groups, and farmers markets where people gather on a regular basis. And not to forget, an excellent selection of first class restaurants. For day trips you can choose to visit the Tabacon hot springs near La Fortuna, the Observatory Lodge or El Castillo, In the other direction you can visit the Monteverde Cloud forest with its many touristic attractions, such as Canopy- and Sky Tram tours.The drive to the International airport near Liberia takes 2 hours, and you can reach the nearest beaches in 2.5 hours.
